Resident Reports Stray Killed Her Pet

Law enforcement officials were summoned to an Ann Road home early Sunday after a resident discovered a stray Pitt bulldog had killed her pet.

The resident, age 60, told officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department that the large, tan dog had just killed her Jack Russell Terrier-mix, and that both were lying on her deck at the rear of the home.

Officers report the dog “was friendly to human contact” but appeared to be “very aggressive toward other animals.”

The victim indicated that the Pitt bulldog had likely been dropped at a neighbor’s home, but that it was unknown to whom it belonged.

The dog was taken by Lawrenceburg Police Department Animal Control Officers to the city’s dog pound. Reports indicate the dog was being held in quarantine at the time reports were filed.
