Theft
A resident of Posey Circle in St. Joseph reported to deputies that around 2:17 a.m. Sunday he discovered someone had stolen his red, Flex brand kayak, paddle and fishing tackle. Loss was estimated at $890.
Burglary
Deputies investigated the burglary of a home on Blooming Grove Roads in Five Points on Saturday. The resident reported someone had entered without permission, stealing a CD player, potpourri dish, and a set of antique dishes. A ten foot piece of copper wire that connected the fuse box to the exterior power source was also stolen, with damages being done to sheetrock and vinyl siding. Loss and damages were said to total $780.
Burglary
The burglary of a 1997 Jeep Cherokee was investigated in the early hours Sunday at Rick’s BBQ in Ethridge. The owner reported he had left the vehicle in the parking lot. When he returned he found the passenger side window had been smashed. Nothing, he reported, appeared to be missing, however damages were said to total $200. A bank deposit slip was found lying atop the broken glass, beside the vehicle. Investigation was initiated to determine whether the individual listed was involved.
Vandalism
Deputies on patrol discovered damage to two mailboxes at 963 Prosser Road shortly before 9:00 a.m. Sunday. The deputies notified the owner, who reported the mailboxes were to his house and shop. It appeared the mailboxes were run over by a vehicle. Loss was approximately $150.
Burglary
Police officers were summoned to Whispering Oaks Apartments on Claymar Drive around 12:30 a.m. Friday. The manager reported someone had pulled two form holders from the wall outside the office. In addition, the culprit broke into an outbuilding, stealing a gas powered blower, mower engine and mower battery. Loss and damages were said to total nearly $800.
