Tuesday Crime Report

Vandalism

   A property owner reported to deputies last week that his former tenants had vandalized a house on Ridge Lane. The owner found that nine windows had been busted, a 27” Sanyo television stolen, a Jacuzzi motor broken, floor tiles had been removed from the floor, a wooden door was busted, and holes had been punched through the drywall. He estimated damages to total $2,700.

Vandalism

   Deputies investigated an instance of vandalism at 591 Waterloo Road on Friday. A neighbor reported seeing individuals in a small white truck with a black hood pull up the mailbox. Loss was approximately $150.

Theft

   A resident of 1189 Marable Road reported to deputies Sunday that he was mowing his yard when he discovered vandalism to his home. He reported six windows had been damaged and a dryer vent knocked down. Also, a used battery was stolen from the front porch. Loss was estimated at $85.

Burglary

   Deputies responded to 166 Freedom Road Saturday where a property owner reported his shed had been burglarized. The victim, who resides in Nashville, reported the crime had occurred between August 4 and 11. A door lock had been broken. Missing were various power and hand tools with an estimated value of $1,500.

Aggravated burglary

   Deputies were called to a Norton Road home Saturday where the resident reported several items were missing. Harley Davidson jackets, a Smith and Wesson pistol, and a shotgun had been taken from a closet. Total value was around $2,320.

Aggravated burglary

   A resident of 79 Horseshoe Bend Road, Leoma, summoned deputies to her home last week after finding that a handgun had gone missing. She reported that someone had entered her home sometime that day, taking a .45 caliber Glock. There were no signs of forced entry, and deputies noted that other high value items were left undisturbed.

Aggravated burglary

   Deputies were called to a Revilo Road home in Leoma last week when a neighbor reported spotting someone prowling about the property. The resident, age 75, had been staying with her sister at the time the incident occurred. While outside smoking a cigarette, the neighbor reported seeing a figure of a man, approximately six foot tall, standing next to the house. He said it appeared he was attempting to hide. He told deputies that he shouted and the man fled south on Revilo Road. Deputies found that a screen had been removed and a window opened on the rear of the residence.

Burglary

   Police officers were called to investigate a burglary to an outbuilding at a home on Debus Street Saturday. The resident reported awaking to find the door to an outbuilding had been pried open. While fixing the door he noticed several tools and personal items missing. Loss is estimated to be $565.

Burglary

   On Saturday officers were called to a home on Sundown Drive where the resident reported several items were missing from his garage. Numerous hunting related items including climbing stands, bows and associated equipment, game cameras, binoculars, and hunting clothing were reported stolen. They had an estimated combined value of $2,965.
