Curtis Ray Watson was Captured on Sunday in Tennessee by an off duty prison worker.

 

 

A manhunt began for Watson after he escaped on Wednesday from a West Tennessee State Penitentiary where he is also accused of sexually assaulting, and murdering 64 year old corrections employee Debra Johnson.

On Thursday investigators were able to secure additional warrants for Watson on charges of first degree murder, aggravated burglary, and aggravated sexual battery.

On Sunday, 5 days after Curtis Ray Watson escaped, the Tennessee Bureau of Invegations confirmed that Watson has been captured.

Authorities reported that an off duty prison worker spotted Watson 10 miles from the West Tennessee State Penitentiary, and held him at gunpoint till officers arrived.

The Tennessee Bureau of Invegations released a video showing the capture of Curtis Ray Watson where they thanked everyone for their support and vigilance this week.
