Resident Gives Chase To Prowler
A local resident reported to law enforcement officials during the weekend that he gave chase to a prowler he found outside his home, but was unable to detain him.
The resident reported to Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies Sunday that he had been across the street from his Fall River Road home around 11:30 p.m. When he looked back at his home, he reports he saw a prowler dressed in black skulking about near his door.
The victim stated that he jumped into his truck and gave chase to the prowler, but that his truck died and he was unable to continue the chase.
The victim was unable to give a clear description of the prowler, stating that he kept his face covered.
Deputies found that the front door of the victim’s home appeared to have been pried open, but that nothing was reported missing. Damages were estimated to total $300.
