A Lawrence County man reported stolen gun returned with bullets missing.

 

The Lawrenceburg police department was dispatched on Friday to a residence on Fall River Road with reference to stolen property being returned.

The responding officer spoke with the victim who stated that he had reported his Glock Gen 4 9mm gun stolen on July 23rd, and that his son had found his gun laying on the front porch where it had been returned.

The victim reported to the officer that when he picked up the gun he noticed the difference in the gun's weight, and after checking the gun discovered someone had shot all of the bullets leaving the magazine empty.

The officer reported the victim's gun was cleared from NCIC.
