A 17 year old suspect steals a car leading Tennessee police on a chase before crashing.

 

According to the Mt. Juliet police department officers were responding to reports of car burglaries around 3:30 a.m. when they spotted a teen in a stolen vehicle.

Officers stated a 17 year old male from Nashville had stolen a Mazda 3 that he had found with the keys inside the vehicle in the area of Willoughby Station.

Once officers spotted the teen in the stolen vehicle he fled leading police on a chase where the 17 year old then wrecked at the intersection of S Greenhill Road and W Division Street.

After crashing the stolen vehicle the teen then fled on foot where police followed, and was able to apprehend the suspect shortly after.

Police stated this is an ongoing investigation with there being another vehicle connected to the burglaries that has yet to be located, but luckily no injuries were reported with this incident.
