Woman Stomped During Domestic Altercation

   A Lawrenceburg woman was transported for medical attention in the early hours Saturday after her boyfriend allegedly stomped her in the face during a domestic altercation.

   Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department answered the 3:30 a.m. call to 1012 Crowson Road. The female resident, age 28, told them that she and her boyfriend had become involved in an argument that escalated to violence. During the altercation, she reports that he struck her in the face with his fist, knocking her to the ground. While she was lying on the ground, she told officers he began to stomp her in the face.

   The victim was transported by the Lawrence County Ambulance Service for emergency medical attention at Crockett Hospital. Because of her condition, officers report she was unable to give a written statement at that time.

   Officers report they were able to locate the boyfriend a short time later, walking along Clearview Avenue. Joseph Martin LaRue, 33, of 203 Walnut Avenue, Ethridge, was placed under arrest on one count of domestic assault and transported to the Lawrence County Jail.

   LaRue is scheduled for an initial appearance in Lawrence County General Sessions Court on Friday, September 11, 2009.
