Thieves Drive Away With Trailer And Lawnmowers

A Lawrenceburg man reported to authorities that someone had apparently backed up, hooked to, and driven away with his trailer while he was away from his home on Wednesday.

The victim reported that the trailer had been parked beneath a metal shed at the rear of his Debus Street property. The culprit cut a lock in order to take it. It is described as a 6’x8’, single axle trailer, black with a white pin stripe and a fold down ramp on the rear. The tongue, the victim said, is slightly twisted.

The victim said that the trailer was loaded with lawn equipment including a 22” Murray push mower, two containers of gasoline, and a red Husky riding mower with a 38” cut and 12.5 horsepower motor. He said that he had drilled a hole in the discharge shield on the deck and used a strap to hold it up so that it would fit on the trailer.

The victim estimated his loss to total $2,245. Investigation into the crime is ongoing at the current time.
