Resident Riding Four Wheeler Issued Citations

A Lawrenceburg woman caught riding a four wheeler along a major thoroughfare early Monday morning was issued driving and drug related citations.

Lisa Marie Crow, 36, of 3425 Pulaski Highway was issued citations on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, public intoxication, and riding an ATV off-road vehicle on a highway.

Lawrenceburg Police Officers report noticing crow riding the four wheeler northbound along U.S. Highway 43 North around 12:01 Monday morning. The officer noted that Crow was not wearing a helmet and was traveling at approximately forty miles per hour.

The officer reports that he turned to pursue Crow, but that she turned into the parking lot at Northside Animal Hospital. When he turned into the parking lot the officer was unable to see Crow. He indicates that she had pulled behind the building, turned off the lights and motor, and was “hiding in the dark.”

Crow, the officer reports, was at first uncooperative, refusing to get off the ATV and to provide identification. She stated that the ATV was not stolen. She indicated that she was “taking it for a test drive.” The reporting officer noted that Crow “smelled of alcohol.”

Inside Crow’s purse, the officer reports finding a pipe that contained residue of crack cocaine, along with two pieces of burned Brillo pad “indicative of crack cocaine use.”

The ATV was turned over to the owner, while Crow was issued the citations and released into the custody of a friend.

When he arrived back at the police station, the officer reports that the crack pipe was missing from his “report box.” He and other officers were present when it was placed into evidence. He also notes that Crow was, “the only individual that could have taken the item.” He indicated that Crow did sign a property receipt that listed the pipe among items seized.
