Iron City Resident Among Those Arrested In Wayne Drug Bust

An Iron City man was among a group of five individuals indicted in connection with a six-month long investigation into illegal drug activity in neighboring Wayne County.

Wayne County officials allege that four of the five individuals sold narcotics to undercover drug investigators. A Wayne County Grand Jury reviewed evidence in the cases and opted to return indictments against the four, charging them with various drug and other offenses. The last of the indictments was served on Tuesday, with all four being taken into police custody.

The fifth arrestee, the son of one of those indicted, was apprehended when officers went to his house in an effort to serve the indictment on his father. Deputies report that while they were at the 218 Roanoke Street, Collinwood, home, one deputy walked around the house to see whether the man’s father was there. He reported seeing two large bags of marijuana, with a total weight in excess of one pound, placed beneath the house. A search of the residence ensued and deputies report seizing drugs from within the home as well as cash and two fully loaded rifles.

As a result, resident Tyler Huskey, 18, was placed under arrest on charges of unlawful possession of marijuana for resale, manufacturing marijuana, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and felony possession of a firearm.

   Those arrested on indictments include:

*Robert Huskey, 43, of 218 Roanoke St., Collinwood, two counts of possession of marijuana for resale, one count of resisting arrest.
*Frank Dee Creasy, 70, of 314 Milk Branch Access Drive, Waynesboro, two counts of sale of schedule III narcotics (Loratabs), one count of violation of probation.
*Heath Gabriel Heard, 29, of 2475 Mount Hope Road, Waynesboro, two counts of the sale of schedule VI narcotics (marijuana).
*Donald Ray Cobb, 65, of 5499 Middle Butler Road, Iron City, sale of schedule II narcotics (cocaine).
