A Tennesse man was arrested after his son died in a hot car on Thursday.
According to Smyrna police Chief Kevin Arnold the department along with Rutherford County EMS was dispatched to a residence on Windbirch Trail around 4:55 p.m. on Thursday with reports of an unresponsive child.
Upon arrival officers found 3 year old Daylin Palmer unresponsive after he had been left in the vehicle for around 2 hours at the home.
Emergency personnel were unable to save the 3 year old who died from a heat stroke.
Investigators arrested the 3 year old boy's father, Dylan Levesque, 23, on charges of aggravated child abuse and neglect, which is a Class A felony.
Levesque bond was set at $50,000 until his first court date on July 15th.
