Soldier Serving In Iraq Is Target Of Identity Theft

   Police reports indicate that a Lawrenceburg man serving through the military in Iraq has become the target of an identity theft scheme.

   Kayla Renae Brewer, age 19, of Florence stopped by the Lawrenceburg Police Department this week to report that someone had used her husband’s debit card number to make purchases through use of the internet. Purchases totaling $112.52 were reportedly made at “Paymedia” and “beyondtheamerica.ink.” The perpetrator, Brewer reported, used their old address of 311 Avon Street, Lawrenceburg.

   Brewer told officers that she had contacted her husband, and that he indicated he had not made the purchases. Officers advised her to obtain an affidavit of forgery to add to the official report.
