A plane crash tragically claimed the life of a middle Tennessee woman.
According to Iroquois County Sheriff's office a middle Tennessee woman died, and 2 Chicago residents were injured after a small plane they were flying in crashed into an Illinois field on Friday.
The Pilot of the plane was Raymond Jakubiak who was flying a Beech A36 single-engine aircraft from Nashville to Chicago when they began to experience engine trouble, and attempted to land in a field near Chebanse.
The plane crashed into the field where it caught on fire, and emergency crews rescued Jakubiak, his 2 passangers Wrenne Jakubiak, and Dorothy Stockard of Hermitage Tennessee.
The pilot and both passengers were transported to a nearby hospital where Stockard later tragically died.
Authorities stated a full investigation of the crash will be conducted.
