A Metro police officer was involved in a early Thursday morning crash that tragically claimed his life.

 

According to the Metro police department a Nashville officer was involved in a fatal Thursday morning crash.

Off duty police officer John Anderson, 28, was involved in a wreck where a 17 year old hit his police car around 3:05 a.m. right off of I 24 near interstate Drive, and Woodland Street.

Anderson was tragically killed in the wreck.

There are no further details at this time while officers continue to investigate the fatal crash.
