Bull Poisoning Incident Eyed By Authorities

   Lawrence County law enforcement officials were asked to initiate an investigation after an Ethridge man learned late last week that his bull had been poisoned.

   Freddie Oneal Corbin reported to Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies Friday that he had discovered the bull dead on his property on Briar Hill Road on June 11.

   Thinking it was odd, Corbin said he had a veterinarian in Pulaski perform an autopsy. Results indicated the bull had died as the result of “a severe dose of poison.” The bull was valued at $1,500.

   The case remains under investigation through the department’s Criminal Investigation Division. Anyone who has information pertinent to the investigation is encouraged to contact the department at 931-762-3626.
