Neighbor’s Dog Bites Man Mowing Mother’s Lawn

   A Lawrenceburg man reported to authorities Monday that he had been bitten by a dog while mowing his mother’s lawn.

   Deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department made their way to 747 Busby Road, Loretto shortly before 9:00 a.m.

   The victim, age 62, reported he had been mowing when a white and black Pit Bull Terrier approached him and bit him on the hand. He said the dog then ran across the roadway, behind a neighbor’s home.

   Deputies made contact with the neighbor. She told them that the dog belonged to her son. She was advised to contain the animal.

   Deputies advised the victim of the process needed to obtain a criminal summons, should he choose pursue the matter.
