Owner Says Someone Rammed House Causing Large Hole

The owner of a Lawrenceburg property reported to police officers Wednesday that someone had apparently rammed a vehicle into a house he owns, causing considerable damage.

The owner reported to Lawrenceburg Police officers that the damage was discovered Monday by a former tenant. He said the house had been vacant for approximately two weeks and that the home had not been damaged when he last saw it just a few days prior.

Officers at the scene noted that it appeared the home had been hit by a vehicle and “the home sustained intrusion.” The framework had been pushed in approximately 8 inches, “to the point where you could reach through and animals can freely enter.”

The owner said the damages would necessitate the rebuilding of that side of the home. He estimated damages to total $4,000.
