County Commissioners To Meet In Special Session

   Members of the Lawrence County Board of Commissioners have received notification that a special session has been called for 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2008. The following items have been listed on the agenda for that meeting: 

*Resolution to Approve Amendments to the 2007-08 Lawrence County Budget.
*Resolution to Approve Amendments to the 2007-08 Lawrence County Board of Education Budget.
*Resolution to Adopt a Continuing Budget and Tax Rate for the Fiscal Year Beginning on July 1, 2008, and to Authorize the Expenditure of Funds by Various County Offices and Departments.
*Resolution to appoint members to the Lawrence County Regional Planning Commission and Lawrence County Board of Zoning Appeals.
*Resolution to hold the July 22, 2008, Regular Session of the Lawrence County Board of Commissioners at South Lawrence Elementary School.
*Resolution to fund up to $12,600 for Iron City Utility District waterline extension project and up to $1,101 for City of Saint Joseph waterline extension project.
*Election of Notaries

   The meeting, which is open to the public, will be held in the downstairs courtroom of the Lawrence County Courthouse on West Gaines Street.
