Tennessee police officers conducted a traffic stop that resulted in finding a severed human torso in the passenger side of the vehicle.

 

According to WVLT out of Knoxville on Sunday police officers stopped a motorist who they witnessed swerving between lanes on Interstate 40.

The driver, Dorrae Johnson, 29, originally stopped for police where he yelled out the window that he had to get to his family's home, and drove away.

Johnson attempted to flee from police until he hit a utility pole, and took off on foot where officers were able to capture him.

After arresting Johnson an officer returned to the suspect's vehicle to turn off the ignition, and that is he discovered a severed human torso laying in the passenger floorboard.

Investigators discovered the remaining parts of the torso at a scene where Johnson had ran over a pedestrian identified as, Daryl Butler.

Johnson was arrested on charges of vehicular homicide, speeding, financial responsibility law, display of registration plates, expired registration, seatbelt violation, texting while driving, and driving on revoked license.
