Two Retrieved During Rescue Operation At West Point Bluff
Emergency personnel were able to retrieve a couple from the base of a bluff in the West Point area overnight Tuesday.
Authorities indicate that the operation got underway after it was reported around 12:00 a.m. that the couple had driven an all terrain vehicle off of a bluff in the area of Wisdom and South Ore Roads.
During the rescue, workers were able to retrieve the couple. They report that the bluff was approximately thirty feet tall. Both were airlifted to Nashville for medical attention.
Members of several different local emergency agencies assisted in the operation.
