Trailer hauling brand new cars from Nissan plant overturned.

 

According to Rutherford County Fire Rescue they responded Monday morning around 10:15 a.m. to a crash where a trailer hauling brand new cars had overturned.

The department stated that multiple brand new cars that had just left the Nissan plant in Smyrna Tennessee were scattered along the roadway on West Jefferson Pike near Hickory Grove Road.

Due to the crash a portion of West Jefferson Pike was shut down for hours while 9 cars, and the trailer were removed from the road.

Reports indicate the driver of the trailer had to be extricated from the vehicle where he was then transported to nearby hospital for non life threatening injuries.

At this time the cause of the wreck is unknown
