Iron City Teen Dies In Thursday Crash

   An Iron City teenager perished Thursday afternoon after the car in which she was a passenger became involved in a crash.           

   Reports filed through the Tennessee Highway Patrol show that the crash occurred around 5:45 p.m. on Railroad Bed Pike.

   Driver Trista Rich, age 19, of 5265 Wilson Road, Iron City, was reportedly southbound when she failed to negotiate a curve. The 2004 Pontiac car then reported left the roadway on the left hand side, traveled down an embankment, rolled, then came to rest on its top.

   Rich was injured as a result of the crash, as was passenger Jacoby Brewer, 16, of 405 West Tennessee Street, Collinwood. Passenger Ethan Borden, 16, of 1075 Fairview Church Road, Iron City was uninjured.

   Front seat passenger Morgan Rich, age 17, also of 5265 Wilson Road, Iron City, was ejected during the crash and sustained fatal injuries. She was later pronounced dead.
