The Lawrenceburg police department had a complaint filed by a 53 year old man who had been the victim of a scam.

The victim stated he had been talking to a woman online for around 6 months when she asked if she could send him checks to deposit then he could send her money when she needed it.

After receiving several checkbooks in the mail from a man named Allan Wu the victim deposited a check for $4,500, and then put the money on a cashier's check mailing it to a Chicago address.
