Wayne County Sheriff's office warns the public about counterfeit money circulating.

 

Wayne County Sheriff Shane Fisher shared on the departments Facebook page to alert the public and local businesses that counterfeit $100 dollar bills are circulating in the County.

Fisher stated that several bills have been reported at businesses over the last few days, and is asking for everyone to be careful when dealing with any denomination of currency especially $100 dollar bills.

Sheriff Fisher is advising that If anyone believes they have been the victim of recieving counterfeit money, or has any questions, please contact them at 931-722-3615 Monday through Friday 8-5 or 931-722-3613 after hours.
