LCHS Shoot Team Results
The LCHS Shooting Team qualified for the State Tournament after competing in the Region 2 Regional Trap Shoot on May 31st.
Thirteen of the twenty-one LCHS shooters shot above 90 out of 100, which compiled the overall team average to 90.5.
Highlights included 50 straight patch awarded to Brown Boyd(shot 92) and 25 straight patches for the following individuals; Austin Moore(89), Bobby Benson(96), Ben Threet(94), Connor Walters(92), Derek Eaton(94), and Chase Kobeck(95).
The team also competed in a AIMS/ATA Trap shoot in Christiana, Tennessee June 7th, winning multiple squad and individual awards.
Varsity Squad #1 won 1st place in the Junior C Division with a team score of 471 out of a possible 500.
Riverdale took 2nd place with a 448 narrowly beating out LCHS Varsity #2 with their 3rd place 447. LCHS JR.
Varsity placed 4th with a 443 team score. LCHS Varsity #3 won 1st place in the Junior D Division with a team score of 460, beating out Central Magnet School with a 425.
Individual honors went to Rhett Yates(97) and Chase Kobeck(98) for shooting 50 straight and all the following for shooting 25 straight; Austin Moore(94), Ben Threet(91), Connor Walters(95), Logan Cowheard(94), Jordan Haney(93), Jotham Saunders(93), Brown Boyd(93), J.C. Mills(97) and Tanner Clark(96 with two 25 straight).
Individual awards went to Ben Threet(91) C Class Runner Up, Rhett Yates(97) D Class Champion, Tanner Clark(96) D Class Runner Up, and Connor Walters(95) D Class 2nd Runner Up, Chase Kobeck(98)
Junior Class 2nd Runner Up, and J.C. Mills(97) Sub-Junior Class Runner Up. LCHS Shooting Team will complete in the Tennessee State Tournament at the Nashville Gun Club on June 20th&21st.
