Investigators believe the man who was shot at a Tennessee Red Roof Inn was killed for 218 pounds of Marijuana.

On Saturday afternoon at a Red Roof in on Claridge Drive near the Nashville International Airport, Samuel Eugene Robinson, 46, of Houston, Texas was fatally shot.

At the time of the shooting Metro Police stated that 2 black male suspects shot and killed someone then ran away on foot.

Investigators were able to identify Robinson as the victim by his fingerprints since he was in the system for multiple arrests out of Texas.

Further investigation into the shooting resulted in Robinson's murder being linked to a possible marijuana distribution after 99 vacuum sealed packages of marijuana was discovered inside a hotel room.

The marijuana found had a total weight of 218 pounds, and a street value of more than $500,000.
