Vandals Target Car Wash In Summertown
Vandals targeted a car wash in the Summertown area Saturday, leaving damages in their wake.
Reports filed through the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department show that deputies were dispatched to Summertown Car Wash located at 9 Ball Park Road. The owner, age 70, reported that someone had painted graffiti and caused damages to two vending machines and one wash bay control.
A lock on the wash bay control along with the metal surrounding it had been cut, however the perpetrators did not gain access to the money store inside.
A keep watch was placed on the property. Damages were estimated to total $200.
