Event Scheduled For Firefighter
The Kenny Rhinehart Benefit and 5 for Kenny 5K Walk/Run will offer families of Lawrenceburg and surrounding areas a fun-filled day that benefits the family of a local firefighter battling very aggressive cancer.
If you are interested in running or walking the 5K, you may pick up registration forms at Fire Extinguisher & Safety Shop or at either station of the Lawrenceburg Fire Department. Pre-registered entries are $25.00, and entries completed on Saturday are $30.00.
All runners will receive a benefit t-shirt, with pre-registered runners being guaranteed the correct size shirt on Saturday. An award ceremony and door prize give-away will be held at 5:00 PM in the Rotary Main Gym.
BBQ plates will be served from 11 AM until 7 PM at Rotary Park. Each adult plate is $10.00, and it will include BBQ, slaw, baked beans, fries, a dessert, and a drink.
Children's plates will be available for $5.00, and they will include either BBQ, chicken, or a hot dog, fries, dessert, and a drink. Dinner tickets will be used in a drawing following the benefit.,,Throughout the day, we will have many fun-filled events for the entire family, including a closest to the pin contest, inflatable jumpers for the kids, snowcones and popcorn stands, and live music.
We will also have a silent auction and a live auction with many great items. Autographed Tennessee Titans items, autographed Atlanta Braves items, autographed country music CDs and photographs, a mailbox post from Precision Laser, an antique bench, a LazyBoy recliner, first visit to Dr. Lerner, pearl necklace from Massey Jewelry, adirondack chairs, fishing pole and reel, lots of gift cards, and MUCH MORE!

Tickets for the BBQ meal are available at Fire Extinguisher and Safety Shop, NAPA Auto Parts, Suntrust Bank, Lawrenceburg Fire Department (both stations), and by contacting any City of Lawrenceburg firefighter.
