Resident Arrested For Annoying Festival-Goers

One Lawrenceburg resident was placed under arrest Saturday evening after he allegedly created quite an annoyance for many attending the city’s Heritage Festival.

Paul Leroy Pifer, a forty-seven-year-old resident of Short Avenue, was arrested on charges of public intoxication around 10:15 p.m.

Reports filed through the Lawrenceburg Police Department report that several complaints had been received regarding an individual who had been annoying persons attending the festival. They indicate they were able to make contact with Pifer and determined that he was in an intoxicated state. He allegedly admitted he had consumed several beers throughout the evening.

Pifer was taken into custody and transported to the Lawrence County Jail without further incident.
