Leoma Woman Reports Harassment By Landlord

A Leoma woman filed a complaint with law enforcement officers Wednesday, indicating that she is being harassed by her landlord.

The twenty-year-old victim reported that her landlord has called her numerous times, telling her she and her boyfriend must move out, and making threats to change the locks.

She said that the calls are sometimes made at 1:00 or 2:00 a.m. She told deputies that the calls have continued despite the fact that she has asked him to stop.

The victim told deputies that just the day before, her landlord had used a key to enter her home unannounced just as she was getting out of the bathtub.

The victim said that on Wednesday the landlord told her he did not have to give her a thirty day notice and that he would be changing the locks the following day.

The victim indicated that she was not seeking legal action at that time. She said that she only wanted the matter documented in the event that there were any further problems.
