The Lawrenceburg Fire Department responded to a local apartment complex, and emergency personnel were concerned with possible hazardous material exposure.

 

According to the Lawrenceburg Fire Department on Tuesday around 4:24 p.m. they responded to a medical emergency at an apartment on Geri Street.

Once responders were on the scene medical personnel became concerned about possible hazardous material after responders started showing signs of exposure.

The Lawrenceburg Fire Department Hazmat Team was called in to collect samples of the substance, and after testing the substance was identified as an irritant that was non hazardous.

A cleanup company was called in to properly take care of the irritant substance.

Lawrenceburg Fire Department stated that normal operations resumed later that night.
