Brewer Announces Resignation As Chamber President

   Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce President Randy Brewer has announced his resignation, effective in August.

   In a letter to Chamber members issued Friday, May 25, Brewer stated, “After nearly nineteen years of working in economic and community development here and in Rutherford County I have decided to pursue other interests, a decision I have been contemplating for the past several months.

   “I want to thank past and present board members for their unwavering support and the many businesses and individuals who have supported the efforts of the Chamber through their memberships and services on volunteer committees and boards.

   “Most of all I want to thank the Chamber staff – all talented and committed people who deserve your continued support.

   “I am proud of the many projects in which I have had the privilege to participate over the years, not only locally but in statewide organizations that I have served.

   “My hope going forward is that everyone in our community can combine efforts to make Lawrence County a better place to live, work and play.”

   Brewer’s resignation will become effective August 3, 2007.
