TDOT Reports Theft Of Snow Plow Blades
Officials with the state road works department reported to authorities Monday that some snow plow blades had gone missing.
Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department were dispatched to the Tennessee Department of Transportation offices on North Locust Avenue to investigate.
Department officials reported that while conducting an inventory they discovered that snow plow blades, with a combined value of $3,458, were missing.
Officials said that the blades had gone missing since the previous inventory, which was conducted on June 11 of 2013. They said that an employee had been fired at around that time for stealing, and that the crimes could be related.
Investigation in the matter is continuing at the current time.
