Tuesday Crime Report

Burglary

   Deputies were called a home on Joe Williams Road in Five Points Monday after the resident discovered his home had been burglarized. The victim, age 76, told deputies that the burglar had apparently entered through an unlocked back door. Taken were a .50 caliber black powder rifle, two 20 gauge shotguns, and medication. Loss was estimated to be $620.

Theft

   A resident of Wayland Springs Road, Iron City reported to deputies Monday that his mule harnesses had been stolen. He said that the six mule harnesses had been hanging in the front yard at the time they were stolen. He had last seen them on May 10. Nothing else appeared to be missing. The value of the harnesses is said to be $2,000.
