Owners Arrive At Property To Discover Burglary

Owners of an Ethridge property arrived during the weekend to find that their house had been burglarized.

The residents of Arab, Alabama reported to deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department that they had recently moved from the Dry Weakley Road home and have listed the property for sale.

They said that they returned Saturday to retrieve some items and mow the grass, only to find that the front door was standing open.

A black rolling tool chest filled with tools was missing from a bedroom closet, two white wicker rockers from the front porch, and a cedar swing from the front yard.

The reporting deputy noted finding pry marks around the rear door. Loss and damages were estimated to total $2,300.
