Neighbor Throws Bricks Through Windows

   Law enforcement officials are looking into allegations that a neighbor threw bricks through the windows of nearby home not once, but twice Friday night.

   Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department were dispatched to investigate the first vandalism incident at the Simms Street home shortly after 11:00 p.m.

   The male resident, age 64, reported that he had been watching television in his living room when the heard the sound of breaking glass in the direction of a bedroom. He indicated that he looked, and discovered that a window had been broken.

   Officers report that a brown brick was found lying on the ground outside the window. The resident told officers that he had been having difficulties with a female neighbor.

   Shortly before 1:30 officers were dispatched to the home a second time. This time, the resident was standing on his porch near another broken window. He reported that he had witnessed the neighbor hurling another brick through a front window. In addition, officers reported finding a pair of shoes in the yard that the resident identified as belonging to the same neighbor.

   All told, damages were said to total $400. Investigation into the crimes is currently on-going through the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
