Loads Of Tires Dumped At Tire Business
Deputies have twice been called to a local tire business in recent days when employees discovered that someone had dumped loads of used tires there.
On Monday deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to Chapman Tires, located on Highway 43 North in Ethridge.
An employee reported that between May 9 and May 11, someone had dumped approximately 180 used car and truck tires at the business along with around 30 used lawnmower and four wheeler tires.
Workers had filed a similar complaint on May 8 after finding that around 80 used tires had been discarded at the business.
The matter remains under investigation at the current time.
