Lawrenceburg Council To Meet Thursday

Members of the council that governs the City of Lawrenceburg will meet in regular session Thursday morning to consider a few items of proposed business.

The sold ordinance appearing on the agenda is up for second and final reading. It calls for budget expenditures to be added to the 2009-2010 fiscal year, allowing expenditures to be added to allow entering into a lease purchase agreement, to allow the police department to obtain five patrol units.

Two resolutions appear on the agenda. The first calls for the council to consider approving the annual lease agreement with Buffalo River Services for property on W.O. Smith Street.

The second resolution up for consideration would allow the council to authorize the Lawrenceburg Fire Department to apply for an Assistance to Firefighters Grant in order to purchase a 2010 aerial ladder truck.

The meeting, which is open to the public, is scheduled to get underway at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, May 13, 2010 inside the commission meeting room of the Lawrenceburg City Administration Building on West Gaines Street.
