Lawrenceburg Council Meeting Scheduled For Thursday
Members of the Lawrenceburg Board of Mayor and Council will meet for their regularly scheduled bi-monthly business meeting Thursday morning.
Council members will have several items of business to consider. Two ordinances appear on the agenda. Both call for amendments to the city’s 2013-14 budget. Both are to be considered on second and final reading.
Two resolutions on the agenda seek to enter into contract agreements regarding restoration of the Crockett Theater Marquee and façade. Council members will consider entering into a contract with Caldwell Construction for work on the façade and with Columbia Neon Company for work associated with the marquee.
One resolution would allow the city to apply for Department of Justice grant funds to purchase bullet proof vests for officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department.
Council members are asked to renew the annual lease with Buffalo River Services and to add an addendum to an agreement with Friends of Shoal Creek Cabin.
The council meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the council room at the Lawrenceburg Municipal Complex on the Public Square.
