Pedestrians Find Stolen Bank Cards, ID

Pedestrians conferred with authorities Saturday in an attempt to return a driver’s license and bank cards they had found discarded on a roadside.

The women reported they had been walking when they found the driver’s license and debit cards from two banks, all bearing the name of the same Lawrenceburg woman.

They told officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department that the cards had been discarded on the roadside at the Hicks Street/Remke Avenue intersection.

Officers report they were able to make contact with the woman at her home. She told them she had been looking for the cards, believing that she had misplaced them. She said she had last used the cards at a Red Box rental kiosk at Walgreens. She said she had not realized that they had been stolen.

The cards were returned to the owner. The matter currently remains under investigation.
