Burglar Kicks In Door And Spray Paints Garage

   A burglar who kicked in a door at a Massey Avenue townhouse in the early hours Monday spray painted the garage before fleeing the premises.

   Reports filed through the Lawrenceburg Police Department show that officers were summoned to 1511 Massey Avenue home around 1:40 a.m. The resident, age 23, told officers that he and his girlfriend had been watching a movie when they heard a loud noise in the area of the garage.

   The victim indicated that he had looked out the dining room window and could tell that someone had kicked in the door to his garage. He quickly placed a 911 call for assistance.

   Deputies report that the culprit apparently kicked in the door, breaking the door frame, then sprayed black spray paint about the walls of the garage. The vehicle housed there was undamaged, and the resident reported that nothing appeared to be missing. Damages were estimated to total $200.
