Medical marijuana bill did not pass through the House, and the Senate.

The sponsor of this bill, Senator Steve Dickerson, did believe his bill had enough votes to pass, but the bill will still remain valid for later consideration in April 2020.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation argue that more research needs to be conducted on medical marijuana because it could pose a threat to public safety, and it also remains illegal at the federal level.

Supporters of passing the bill believe that it is wrong and immoral to keep medical marijuana from patients who can benefit from it medically.
