Council Faces Budget, Zoning Issues Thursday

Members of the governing board of the City of Lawrenceburg will consider action regarding zoning and budget issues during their bi-monthly business meeting Thursday.

A public hearing is scheduled regarding Ordinance 1072, an ordinance to amend the city’s zoning ordinance. Following the public hearing, members of the Lawrenceburg Board of Mayor and Council will consider passage of the ordinance on second and final reading.

As of Friday the only other item of business appearing on the agenda is Ordinance 1074, which calls for the council to “amend budget appropriations of revenue and expenditures for the 2010/2011 fiscal year.” The ordinance is up for first reading.

The meeting, which is open to the pubic, will get underway at 8:30 a.m. Thursday inside the commission meeting room of the Lawrenceburg City Administration Building on West Gaines Street.
