Lengthy Drug Investigation Leads To ArrestAgee Donell Gabriel

A cooperative drug investigation conducted through the Lawrenceburg Police Department, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Departments, and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation paid off last week with the arrest of a local business man.

The arrest was announced Wednesday by Interim Lawrenceburg Police Chief Neil Skinner.

According to Skinner, the Criminal Investigation Divisions of both departments began working together on the project around three months ago after they received information alluding to drug activity at Diamond’s Auto Detail, located at 301 North Military Avenue.

Drug agents worked cooperatively throughout the three-month period, gathering information regarding both the business and owner Agee Donell Gabriel, age 38. Authorities report that information was gathered, linking Gabriel to the sale of illegal narcotics.

On Tuesday agents executed a search warrant at the premises. During the search a large amount of crack cocaine was seized along with digital scales and small Ziplock bags, both commonly used in the package and sale of drugs.

As a result, Gabriel was arrested on charges of possession of Schedule II crack cocaine for the purpose of resale and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to the Lawrence County Jail where he was booked on the charges without incident.

Gabriel appeared for a bond hearing in Lawrence County General Sessions Court on Wednesday. He was denied bond “due to his past history and for currently being on parole for similar offenses.” He remains incarcerated at through the Lawrence County Jail.
