Burglars Make Off With Kitchen Sink
Burglars who struck a home under remodel in the St. Joseph area overnight Saturday made off with, not everything but, but only the kitchen sink.
Property owner Joshua Lewis Simbeck, 22, reported the incident to Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies around noon Sunday.
He indicated the house on his 97 McIntyre Road property had been vacant while under renovation. He returned to the property Sunday to find that someone had broken through a door that had been nailed shut in order to gain access to the interior of the structure. Once inside, he said it appears the culprit opted to steal only the kitchen sink.
Simbeck’s loss was estimated at $50. Investigation into the crime is currently on-going.
