Patrol Car Struck At Bar

While a Lawrenceburg Police Officer was conducting a routine “bar check,” he reports that a bar patron backed into his patrol car.

The officer reports that he was conducting the check at Good Times Bar at 356 Mattoxtown Road around 12:45 a.m. He had gone inside, he reports, when he was approached by a witness who told him someone had backed into his patrol car, then left the scene. The witness did obtain a vehicle description along with the license plate number. This allowed officials to issued a “Be On the Look Out” alert for the suspect vehicle.

Shortly afterwards, another officer on patrol reported locating the suspect vehicle in the McDonald’s drive-through lane. He made contact with the driver and escorted her back to the bar.

Officers report that the driver, Meghan Danea Kimbrell-Bone, 24, of 413 Prosser Road, appeared to be under the influence of an intoxicant, and performed unsatisfactorily on field sobriety tests. As a result Kimbrell-Bone was placed under arrest on charges of second offense DUI and leaving the scene of an accident. She was transported to Crockett Hospital to undergo a blood alcohol test, then to the Lawrence County Jail.

There, officers report, Kimbrell-Bone was booked without incident. She is scheduled for an initial appearance in Lawrence County General Sessions Court on April 3, 2009.
