Lawrence County Schools Receive Perfect Financial Audit
The Finance Department of Lawrence County Schools have received a zero ranking on their annual audit which ultimately means a perfect evaluation!
Jessica Eledge, Finance Manager along with four staff members that includes Janice Rigsby, Bobbie Weaver, Kim Gobble, and Janice Bailey oversee $58.4 in annual revenues from local, state, and federal sources.
This department is responsible for payroll and benefits for over 1,000 employees, accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and special funds.
Finance Manager, Jessica Eledge shares, “We are proud of this accomplishment. This just reflects the hard work, professionalism, and dedication of my staff.
We have worked hard to use every tax dollar wisely to help our children and county thrive, and the audit confirms this. Now it’s a new school year, and we’re looking ahead and making sure we stay on the right track.”
