County Commission To Meet For February 20 Special Session
A Special Session of the Lawrence County Board of Commissioners will convene on February 20th so that members may discuss two items of business.
A resolution appearing on the agenda would authorize the County Executive to apply for Community Development Block Grant funds. If received, the funds would be used for the extension of water lines to portions of several roads, including: Jonestown, Joe Williams, Danley, Wolfe, Sunnybrook Creek, and Rigling Roads. It would also authorize the county to provide matching funds required for completion of the projects.
The second resolution on the agenda is in “support of Fiscal Year 2014 THDA (Tennessee Housing Development Agency) Home Grant Application.”
The meeting is scheduled to get underway at 5:00 p.m. inside the commission meeting room at the Lawrence County Courthouse on West Gaines Street.
