Intoxicated Resident Arrested After Trying To Break Into Neighbor’s Car

   A Lawrenceburg man was arrested during the weekend after he allegedly attempted to break into a neighbor’s car while intoxicated.

   According to reports filed through the Lawrenceburg Police Department, officers were dispatched to 437 First Street shortly after 11:00 p.m. Sunday. The residents reported a man had tried to break into their car, and that he was still on the premises.

   Officers arrived to find the suspect, Nicholas Scott Moore, 25, of 435 Second Street, sitting on the porch. They report he appeared to be under the influence of an intoxicant, and that he admitted he had taken several Xanax pills.

   The victims told officers they were not acquainted with Moore. Also, Moore stated that he did not know anyone at the residence.

   Moore was taken into custody on charges of public intoxication and transported for incarceration at the Lawrence County Detention Center. He is scheduled to appear in Lawrence County General Sessions Court on March 2, 2012.
